Chuck Gulash

Chuck_GulashChuck Gulash is currently the Director of Toyota’s Collaborative Safety Research Center and is also involved in advanced research as part of the Toyota Research Institute of North America. He has served in a variety of roles at Toyota since joining the NA Technical Center in 1996 including Vice President of Vehicle Evaluation & Engineering and Vice President of Research & Materials Engineering before assuming his current position in 2011. He earned a Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from the University of Michigan. Chuck serves on the External Advisory Boards of the University of Michigan Mechanical Engineering Department and Transportation Research Institute, the Visiting Committee at the College of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Michigan – Dearborn, the National Advanced Driver Simulator at the University of Iowa and Ohio State’s Crash Imminent Safety UTC. Gulash also serves as a Board Member of SPARK, a public-private partnership to advance innovation-based economic development in the Ann Arbor region.
